Waitoki Community Church Centennial Celebrations

The Methodist Church in Waitoki commenced on 24 April 1924 using a building that had been transported by horse and wagon to be used as the community’s church and school. To mark our centenary there will be two major events:

At 11.00am on Sunday 14 April we will have a Centennial Church Service at the church, 1101 Kahikatea Flat Rd, Waitoki. Rev Val Nicholls will be our guest preacher. Val is a previous minister of the church, now retired but still active in the Parish.

At 6.30pm on Saturday 13 April we will have a Special Centennial Dinner at a restaurant in Stanmore Bay. There will be a Centennial Cake to share and the opportunity to hear stories from the history of the church.
