Fijian choir hits high note
Wesley Wellington Fijian Choir are proud of their successes at the annual choral competitions held in conjunction with the Bose Ko Viti Kei Rotuma (Conference of the Methodist Church of Fiji), in Nadi in August.

The choir, conducted by Maciu Raivoka, came second in their class, received the first prize for best conductor in the class, and were awarded the trophy for best donation.
They were the only New Zealand choir among an estimated 900 choirs who participated.
Parish Superintendent Lynne Frith and Rev Peni Tikoinaka supported the choir during the Fiji trip. Lynne says, “It was a proud moment to lead the choir to the podium for their debut performance. We were all overjoyed when the places were announced.”
