Synod Refresh - Wednesday 9th May 2012
Rev John Bluck, retired Anglican bishop of Waiapu, was the guest speaker on the second day of an annual two day Synod Refresh meeting at Camp Epworth on the banks of the Waikato River. His topic of "putting faith back on its feet - exploring a theology of place" was well received by a group of about 50 who attended.
John invites us to identify areas of significance in our Synod. We identified a large number of significant places of pilgrimage in the Syond.
We formed a number of groups to work out how a pilgrimage to each place might be planned - and set ourselves a large project over the next few years. No Synod gathering would be complete without food.....
... or music (thanks, on this occasion, to Peter Robertson, Bev Bayly and June Higham from Te Awamutu) ... or a bookstall from Epworth (thanks Margaret Birtles).

Reports of recent events in the life of the Synod, and an accompanying photograph are welcome. Please send to eriwen@farmside.co.nz
