Jesus said, I am the bread of life.

Whoever comes to me will never be hungry,

and whoever believes in me

will never be thirsty.

We come as people of God,

seeking the bread that gives new and everlasting life.

Come, let us worship God together.

We light this candle to remind us

of the light of God's love,

and the warmth of God's welcome to everyone.

So together we say:

Welcome to our place, welcome to worship.

So together we say:

Welcome to our place, welcome to worship.

Welcome in the name of God.

God, we are here to celebrate your love;

We are here to give thanks for your goodness

revealed in the world that we share.

We are here to praise you for the amazing love and potential

that exists within our church, neighbours and our community.

We are here to be reminded of your faithfulness;

We are here to renew our love and trust in our differences,

in one another, and in you.

We are the symbol of your love and peace in the world and

in our community.

We gather before you, O God, to celebrate your love,

care and compassion with one another.

Living God, being together gives time to reflect

on our presence in our world.

We confess that sometimes our lives

do not reflect the abundance of your love.

Forgive us, God, and help us.

Sometimes our living

does not reflect our gratitude for our environment.

When we do not live as neighbour,

when anger controls our actions,

when we walk away from hard conversations,

when we avoid our own guilt,

and fail to care for the needs of our young people.

Forgive us, God, and help us.

Renew our desire to live transformed by your love.

Do not let us be defeated by our failures.

In being honest with you,

keep us from being disheartened followers.

Renew us, God, and help us.  Amen.

God forgives us unconditionally

through this gift of grace.

May we have confidence to live,

transformed by God.

Thanks be to God.

As we leave this place,

we will share God's love with the world;

we will comfort those who mourn; we will honour the humble;

we will recognise the faithful; we will follow the path of peace;

we will count ourselves among those who follow the demanding

way of Jesus Christ.

You will be a blessing in our community.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,

the love of God,

and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit,

be with us all.  Amen.
