We are happy to come to you from the Connexional Office after what has been a busy week.

Tara has come from our first Council of Conference for the year. They were able to look at a number of issues to take forward to the Conference in November.

Today Tara meets with the diaconate and our deacons. They will all look at some of the issues that are of concern to the diaconate and their ministry within the Connexion.

Tomorrow and Sunday, Tara will be with the Tauiwi Strategy Group and in that group she will gain a deep and comprehensive understanding of the wellbeing and work of our synods and parishes.

Great news about the travel bubble with Australia opening. However keep an eye on the travel situation as there are still risks associated with overseas travel. If there is a change in alert levels you could end up stranded if you are travelling, or the rules may change at short notice regarding going back into quarantine at travel return.

Grab your overseas travel information from a trusted source such as the Government's COVID-19 website. They have done a thorough job of all aspects of international travelling, whether going to or from NZ. https://covid19.govt.nz/travel-and-the-border/quarantine-free-travel/

Very exciting news that the travel bubbles are expanding because we know so many of our whanau want to get together again and in so doing we encourage everyone to be as safe as possible.

Please contact us if you have any questions on today's update.

Stay well, be well.
